Artificial Intelligence in My Lifetime

I believe that AI in my lifetime will become a thing but not to the scale of how it is seen in the movies where it becomes super intelligent but to the point where we have no immigrant workers and can focus on restoring the world rather than trying to survive. But this topic is really hard to judge because AI may bomb the whole planet and eradicate human life or it could save the human race from ourselves but maybe even just help out around the house like Alexa.
